Traces
Traces
A shadow, a fragment of a photograph, a skin of wax, the outline of a figure. These works examine what is left behind when the body is no longer present. Rather than depicting absence, they consider the trace as a form of presence, a fragile imprint that continues to bear memory, identity and loss. Each work approaches this question through a different material, but all ask the same thing: what remains of us once we have gone?
