I have long been drawn to images that already carry history. These erased postcards begin with places once photographed, printed and circulated before entering my collection. Through repeated acts of covering, rubbing and erasing, their certainty dissolves. What remains are vestiges-echoes of landscapes, architecture and memory that resists complete disappearance. They exist between recognition and forgetting, inviting the viewer to linger in that uncertain space where absence itself becomes visible.
My erased classical illustrations shares the same process that seeks not to destroy an image, but to reveal the quiet residue that survives its loss.
