Reach
Reach
Plaster, installation. Ongoing since 2016
Reach is an evolving installation composed of repeated casts of the artists own hand. First created in 2016, the work expands with each exhibition through the addition of new elements, allowing it to accumulate time, labor and experience
The repeated gesture of the outstretched hand functions as both an individual and collective act, suggesting aspiration, persistence, vulnerability, and human connection. Through the multiplication of a single form, the installation transforms a personal gesture into a field of shared striving. Each new casting records another act of making, extending the work's ongoing dialogue with endurance, growth, and the continual pursuit of what lies beyond immediate reach.
